Rhode Island Bar Association, Volunteer Lawyer Program
The Volunteer Lawyer Program (VLP) is a public service program of the Rhode Island Bar Association designed to help people who have low-incomes obtain legal help when they need it. Its purpose is to provide legal assistance to those who cannot obtain legal representation either on their own or through other existing agencies.

licensed to practice in the state belong. The website includes consumer
information for the public to find answers to common legal questions
including topics from family law issues such as adoption and divorce to wills and probate,
drunk driving and buying a home. In
addition, there is information on how to choose a lawyer, and how to handle
problems or questions that may come up in the course of your representation.

The Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global) serves as a Federal Advisory Committee (FAC) and advises the U.S. Attorney General on justice information sharing and integration initiatives.
